September 12 Over it.I don't usually go for any of the bands in the "Warped Tour" camp. I think it's probably because I'm getting a bit old for the pop-punk scene and just looking at a skateboard makes my back hurt. No I am definelty not one of te whipper-snappers. Ok so I'm only 23 but my musical taste is more mature than what most of those ands offer. That being said, I am in love with the new Over It album. A solid pop-punk rock record that is expertly played and lovingly written. These guys have gusto, or passion or whatever it is that makes you want to pump your fist, sing-along or just air (instrument of choice here, though I don't think anyone air basses...maybe Primus fans). Most tracks contain great hooks hat seem straight out of 80's rock but with 21 century production. For some reason these guys remind me of what I've always wanted The Juliana Theory to be. The bridges and breakdowns draw you in with driving drums and great guitar tones. The lyrics are well conceived and executed, every song has the air of maturity to it. This is definetly a good road trip record or a good one to just play videogames to or hang out with friends. If you like solid rock music, then this one is for you. Pick it up you won't be sorry.
